5 Card Omaha
One of around 20 different card games you can play online, 5 Card Omaha is simply Omaha played with five cards instead of four. The game launched on PokerStars in March 2013 alongside another five card Omaha variant, Courchevel.
5 Card Omaha is played Pot Limit (or Fixed Limit in a Hi Lo game) with max 9 players due to the number of cards dealt out.
Preflop each player is dealt five hole cards. As in Omaha the Small Blind and Big Blind make forced bets and action starts left of the Big Blind.
Hero overcalls a 3x CO raise with 8♦ Q♥ 6♣ 6♠ A♦ in the BB after SB calls.
On the flop three community cards are dealt. As in Omaha action starts left of the Button.
Hero makes trips on the J♠ Q♠ Q♦ flop and check/calls with SB also calling.
On the turn one more community card is dealt.
Hero check/calls a $4.31 bet on the turn 6♦ after SB folds.
On the river one final community card is dealt.
Hero check/calls a large bet on the 2♥ river. The nuts is easy to hit with 5 hole card and hero holds the second nuts and sees no value in raising.
After all betting rounds the last aggressor turns his hand face up if called. Any player with the winning hand must also reveal their cards in order to claim the pot.
Villain shows Q♣ 4♣ 5♦ A♥ 9♠ for a misguided thin value bet with just trips. Hero wins the $26.98 pot after rake.
