Razz

One of around 20 different card games you can play online, Razz is the game poker players love to hate. Part of the HORSE rotation, in this lowball Stud variant you win with the worst hand, five low unpaired cards. Straights and flushes don't count against you, making the nuts A♦ 2♣ 3♥ 4♦ 5♣ of any suit.

Razz is played with max 8 players due to the number of cards dealt out.

Razz Rules - Third Street

On third street each player pays an ante and the player with the highest up card also places a forced bet known as the Bring-In. Action starts left of the bring-in.

How to Play Razz - 3rd Street

In this hand Hero calls the bring-in with 2♥ 3♣ in the hole and the 8♠ showing. Lower up cards raise and re-raise, and three wheel cards are dead so hero chooses to fold.

Fourth Street

Action continues with the player with the best up cards acting first.

How to Play Razz - 4th Street

5♦ A♠ check/calls a bet versus 5♥ 3♦ heads up.

Fifth Street

Action again starts with the player with the best up cards showing. Both hands are strong wheel draws.

How to Play Razz - 5th Street

5♦ A♠ 2♣ check/calls another bet versus 5♥ 3♦ A♣

Sixth Street

Action again starts with the player with the best up cards showing.

How to Play Razz - 6th Street

5♦ A♠ 2♣ 4♣ now leads with a bet, seeing his opponent brick with the Q♠. Villain timebanks and calls.

Seventh Street / Showdown

Action again starts with the player with the best up cards showing.

How to Play Razz - 7th Street

The river goes bet/call again and the aggressor shows a wheel, or an Ace to Five straight 5♦ A♠ 2♣ 4♣ 3♥. He takes down a $4.94 pot after rake. PokerStars does not shuffle the down cards in Stud games (Full Tilt on the other hand does) so we can see this player was fortunate to improve from an 8 low to a wheel on seventh.
